Vaga para Coordinator of Cabo Delgado Park

We are looking for a new member to join our team in Cabo Delgado.
Purpose of the role:
The Coordinator of the CD Parks will drive the strategic coordination of the Cabo Delgado Parks initiative. This role is designed to oversee and implement the partnership between MozParks and the Provincial Government of Cabo Delgado, ensuring that the initiative is successfully executed in collaboration with key stakeholders. The Coordinator will serve as the primary representative for CD Parks, working to strengthen the park network, foster external partnerships, and promote sustainable growth in the region.
Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the Task Force established by the Provincial Executive Council to drive CD Parks initiatives.
-Oversee technical actions to ensure effective implementation of the Agreement between the Provincial Executive Council and MozParks.
-Serve as the main point of contact for external partners, representing the image and interests of CD Parks.
-Organize and participate in high-level meetings with anchor projects, donors, and partners to expand the park network.
-Identify provincial opportunities by mapping new projects and potential funding to enhance the CD Parks network.
-Collaborate closely with the Provincial Government to ensure local laws and policies support the development and sustainability of the park network.
-Monitor and map industries interested in the region to integrate new business initiatives into the park strategy.
-Actively participate in conferences and seminars to disseminate information about and promote the CD Parks network.
-Schedule and support work visits to key locations where the CD Parks are implemented.
-Identify and seize marketing and communication opportunities while establishing contacts with potential companies, such as suppliers of mining and gas equipment, to enhance the network’s growth.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Public Policy, or a related field.
-At least 5 years of professional experience in project coordination, government relations, business development, or economic development programs.
-Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
-Working proficiency in English.
-Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
-Excellent ability to engage and negotiate with stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and private sector representatives.
-A valid driver’s license is required.
Availability to travel within Cabo Delgado and to Maputo when needed.
Ability to work independently and take initiative while maintaining alignment with broader strategy.

WORKPLACE: Cabo Delgado, Pemba, with travel to locations planned for the implementation of the CD Parks. Travel to Maputo will also be required, whenever necessary.
